Cathy McKenna wins Great Irish Bake Off 2015 final after tense battle with Emer Hough and Clare Ryan.
After eight weeks of baking challenges and dramatic episodes, Cathy McKenna has been chosen the winner of the Great Irish Bake Off and Ireland's Best Amateur Baker. Her technical bake, three 'Deconstructed Apple Crumbles' and her final showstopper, a 'Harvest Moon Wedding Cake' blew the judges away, leaving them both in awe of Cathy's unusual but delightful mix of flavours which made her a standout baker from all the other contestants.
The judges commented how tight the final was between the three finalists, bringing one of the toughest decisions in the history of the Great Irish Bake Off.
